Someone was transmitting from the Moon. And the signal had been waiting eight years to be found.
The Story
A seismic signal repeating every 7 hours and 18 minutes. Origin: Mare Tranquillitatis, less than one kilometre from the Apollo 11 landing site. Duration: eight years of silence before anyone noticed.
Marc Valerio, a quantum physicist at La Sapienza in Rome, and Maria Elena Sciarra, an archaeologist working the antique dealers of Via dei Coronari, are the wrong two people to have found it. They are also the only two who understand what it means.
Behind the signal lies an ancient order, a node of prediction older than any written record, and a secret that rewrites everything known about the relationship between the Moon, Julius Caesar, and the long architecture of human history.

An Excerpt
Someone was transmitting from the Moon.
Marc had not slept. The data had arrived at 3:17 in the morning, forwarded by a colleague at the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia who thought it was instrument noise. Marc knew immediately that it was not.
The signal repeated every 7 hours and 18 minutes. It had been repeating, according to the archival logs, for eight years. No one had noticed because no one had been looking at those coordinates. No one looked at the Sea of Tranquility anymore. There was nothing there. Apollo had come and gone. The Moon was a closed chapter.
Except it was not.

The Apollo seismic network ran for eight years before NASA shut it down. A portion of the recorded signals were never definitively classified by the original analysis. The Archive holds the documented record, separate from the narrative that builds on it.
Open the Archive →A Note on This Book
The Threads of Time is a work of fiction. The Apollo Lunar Surface Experiments Package (ALSEP) is real. The seismic network NASA operated on the Moon between 1969 and 1977 is real. A portion of the recorded signals were left unclassified by the original analysis, and only partially re-examined since.
The signal, its coordinates, Marc Valerio, Maria Elena Sciarra, the Order of Ky'lar, and the Aššur Node are entirely invented. Any resemblance between the novel's narrative and actual scientific findings is incidental and does not constitute a factual claim.
